OKLAHOMA CITY — Senate Appropriations Chairman Chuck Hall, R-Perry, today said the Oklahoma Senate will build on the transparent budget process the chamber implemented during last year’s legislative session.

Hall said the Senate is working to simplify and streamline the process of writing a state budget for the next fiscal year while still ensuring the public can remain engaged every step of the way. To start, the Senate Appropriations Committee will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week to discuss agency budget requests in detail.
