OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Jessica Garvin, R-Duncan, represents some of the areas hardest hit by Wednesday night’s tornadoes. As of Thursday morning, two of the state's three fatalities had been reported in Cole and others were injured. After the storms hit, she immediately went to the communities of Cole, Goldsby, and Washington.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Joe Newhouse, R-Tulsa, received unanimous approval for Senate Bill 1070 Wednesday, which allows mothers to receive a temporary disability placard to use for six months after giving birth.
