OKLAHOMA CITY –The Oklahoma Senate approved a resolution Monday affirming the historical ties between the state and the people of Ukraine and supporting their fight against the violent and illegal Russian invasion. Senate Resolution 27 was introduced by Senate President Pro Tempore Greg Treat, R-Oklahoma City.
A Senate bill aimed at giving military and civilian families working at Oklahoma military facilities greater access to childcare has been approved by the full Senate. Senate Bill 1286, by Sen. Brenda Stanley, R-Midwest City, won overwhelming bipartisan approval on Thursday.
The full Senate gave approval to Senate Bill 1096 on Tuesday to add pastors, ministers, spiritual advisors and other religious leaders to the approved list of visitors for patients hospitalized during a declared health emergency.
OKLAHOMA CITY – The full Senate has given unanimous approval to a bill to better protect victims of human trafficking and child abduction. Senate Bill 1569, by Sen. Darrell Weaver, creates the “Address Confidentiality for Child Survivors and Their Families Act.”
OKLAHOMA CITY – The Senate Education Committee gave unanimous approval Tuesday to a bill to allow children of school support employees to transfer to their parent’s employing district. Senate Bill 1112 is authored by Sen. Dewayne Pemberton, R-Muskogee, who said the bill was requested by school superintendents and the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration (CCOSA)
