OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – State Senator Micheal Bergstrom joined Bluejacket High School Junior Justin Herlan at the 104th Annual Oklahoma Youth Expo on Tuesday, March 19 at the State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.

Herlan, who has earned many honors for his care and presentation of various cattle breeds including Maine, Angus, Hereford, Shorthorn and Chianina, is recognized as a leader around the state in the area of agriculture and livestock, winning numerous Top 10 awards for excellence in the field of agriculture and livestock.

“Reading is crucial to student learning and is proven to be tied to future success for children, so this event is always a fun one to celebrate,” said Bergstrom.  “I enjoyed visiting with all the great students at Will Rogers Elementary and want to thank them for their invitation to join them on Friday to read “Great Day for Up” by Dr. Seuss while I was visiting their classroom.”

Bergstrom visits J-M Mushroom Farm

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Sen. Micheal Bergstrom toured J-M Farms this week, getting a firsthand look at Miami’s local mushroom producer.  Bergstrom was hosted by Scott Englebrecht and McKinzie Koons.

 “J-M Farms is a vital part of our community here in northeastern Oklahoma, as well as across the state and region,” said Bergstrom, R-Adair.  “It provides approximately 600 jobs directly and indirectly in the area and ships more than 28 million pounds of product annually within Oklahoma and nine surrounding states.”

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – State Senator Micheal Bergstrom indicated he was pleased and encouraged after the state Board of Equalization certified an estimate indicating lawmakers will have an extra $612 million to spend in the 2020 fiscal year, which begins July 1.  The Adair Republican noted the actions taken at the Capitol the last two years have put the state in a much more stable positional financially going forward.

Micheal Bergstrom joined a crowd of 400 aviation and aerospace professionals and students for the second annual Oklahoma Women in Aviation and Aerospace Day on December 6 in Tulsa.  The Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission in partnership with the Oklahoma Airport Operators Association, the Tulsa Airport Authority Trust, and BizJet International hosted the event at the BizJet hangar at the Tulsa International Airport.
