OKLAHOMA CITY – Senate Bill 1421, by Sen. Jo Anna Dossett, D-Tulsa, requiring nonphysical and nonviolent intervention training for personnel who serve children at Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) facilities, was approved unanimously Monday in the Senate Health and Human Services Committee.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Senate Bill 1317, modifying the definition of a career teacher, was unanimously approved Tuesday in the Senate Education Committee. The bill, by Sen. Jo Anna Dossett, updates language to recognize the mobility of teachers who may need to change school districts over the course of their career.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Senator Jo Anna Dossett, D-Tulsa, announced Wednesday that her Senate Bills 50 and 176 will soon take effect on November 1, offering Oklahomans increased access to gun safes and contraceptive pills. 

SB 50 creates a state sales tax exemption on the purchase of any gun safe or safety device.
