Sen. Kidd celebrates Murray State College and University Center of Southern Oklahoma merger

State Senator Chris Kidd, R-Waurika, released the following statement after the key ceremony formally celebrating the merger of Murray State College and the University Center of Southern Oklahoma on Wednesday:

“I’m thrilled with the merger of Murray State College and the University Center of Southern Oklahoma. This move will expand educational opportunities for all Oklahomans here in the southern part of our state. As a legislator, it’s fulfilling to see important work be done to ensure all our students have the opportunity to thrive, provide for themselves and their families.

“As a graduate of Murray State, I know firsthand how important the educational foundation the college provides is to its graduates. This merger will allow even more students to further their career goals, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for the college.”
