OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Jason Smalley and Rep. Kevin Wallace have planned several legislative breakfasts in Lincoln County in the coming weeks. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend these to get legislative updates as well as ask questions or share their concerns about legislative matters.
“The legislative session is underway, and it’s important that we get to visit with as many of our constituents as possible to learn what issues are important to them as well as find out their concerns,” said Smalley, R-Stroud. “While people can contact us at our offices during the week, it’s nice to sit down over coffee and catch up on what’s happening around the district.”
The schedule is as follows:
Feb. 15 Stroud Route 66 Coliseum
Feb. 22 Wellston High School Library, 700 Birch Ave.
March 8 Meeker The Marketplace, 602 Carl Hubbell Blvd
March 15 Chandler First United Methodist Church, 122 W. 10th Street
April 5 Prague Prague Municipal Building, 820 Jim Thorpe Blvd.
April 12 Davenport Dan’s BBQ, 706 Broadway (Hwy 66)
“We’re looking forward to these legislative breakfasts and hope citizens will take the time to attend so we can keep them up on what’s happening at the Capitol and they can tell us what’s happening in their communities,” said Wallace, R-Wellston. “Open communication is so important in all levels of government to ensure the people’s will is properly represented.”
If any other communities would like to host a legislative event, they can contact Sen. Smalley or Rep. Wallace’s office for scheduling.
