Gollihare named vice chair of Senate Health and Human Services Appropriations Subcommittee

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Todd Gollihare, R-Kellyville, recently received updated committee assignments ahead of the 2024 legislative session. Gollihare will now serve as the Vice Chair of the Health and Human Services Appropriations Subcommittee, and also hold seats on the full Appropriations and Health and Human Services Committees.

“I am very excited to take on these roles and serve my constituents and all Oklahomans in a new capacity,” Gollihare said. “From the state budget to essential services like mental health care, rehabilitative services and other health care services, I know that every bill that passes through these committees affects our citizens, and I am committed to addressing their needs and concerns as we review legislation in the upcoming session.”

Senate Pro Tem Greg Treat also commented on Gollihare’s new committee assignments.

“Sen. Gollihare has proven himself as a thoughtful, measured legislator since joining the Oklahoma Senate,” said Senate Pro Tem Greg Treat (R-Oklahoma City). “His expertise, attention to detail and overall interest in issues surrounding this committee are just a few of the reasons why I selected him to this important role. I appreciate his ongoing commitment and willingness to serve in this extended capacity.”

Gollihare will also serve as the Pro Tem’s designee on the Governor’s Task Force on Emerging Technologies through the remainder of 2023.
