Rosino was not present at the Senate last week, nor was he among the senators or Senate personnel who underwent testing on Tuesday, March 17, after a Senate staffer tested positive for COVID-19.

OKLAHOMA CITY -The chairs of the Legislative Veterans Caucus and the Senate and House Committees on Veterans and Military Affairs are expressing their condolences after the passing of Staff Sgt. Marshal D. Roberts, of Owasso. The 28-year-old Oklahoma Air National Guardsman was killed in a rocket attack in Iraq on Wednesday, March 11.

After years of stalled attempts to modernize Oklahoma statutes dealing with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), compromise legislation has cleared the full Senate.  Senate Bill 801 would bring Oklahoma in line with much of the country in how CRNAs are regulated.  The bill, authored by Sen. Paul Rosino, was approved unanimously on Monday.

Sen. Paul Rosino, R-Oklahoma City, commented Tuesday on the Oklahoma ACES (Aerospace Commerce Economic Services) Programs first year and its many accomplishments. Rosino was the principal Senate author of House Bill 2578 in 2018 creating the state aerospace program.

OKLAHOMA CITY The Chairs of the Oklahoma Legislative Veterans Caucus want to invite their fellow veterans and Oklahomans to Perry Wednesday morning to give a World War II veteran a proper military funeral. Herman White, a Navy veteran, passed away earlier this month with no surviving family. Sen. Paul Rosino, a 25-year retired Navy veteran, and Rep. Jay Steagall, a retired Air Force veteran, are joining Brown-Dugger Funeral Home and the citizens of Perry in asking Oklahomans to attend the veterans funeral or honor him in other ways.

The budget included increased resources for the Aerospace Commerce Economic Services (ACES) Program, which was created through legislation by the retired Navy veteran and signed into law in 2018.

Beginning next year, notary publics will be able to certify electronic documents following legislation unanimously approved Thursday by the Senate. Authored by Sen. Paul Rosino, R-Oklahoma City, and Rep. Chris Kannady, R-Oklahoma City, Senate Bill 915 creates the Remote Online Notary (RON) Act.
