OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Mary Boren issued a statement Wednesday after Attorney General Gentner Drummond responded to her request for an opinion on the legality of Sec. of Transportation Tim Gatz serving simultaneously in that post in addition to serving as executive director of both the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA).

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Mary Boren, D-Norman, issued the following statement after Wednesday’s Appropriations Subcommittee on Education meeting where education agencies discussed their budgets with members. Every agency initially requested additional resources for Fiscal Year 2025 to meet increased demand. No agency had requested a flat budget prior to Wednesday’s meeting. The meeting gave those agencies an opportunity to amend their budget request.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Mary Boren, D-Norman, said among the dignitaries and guests who will be in the House Gallery for Monday’s State of the State address will be Yancey Red Corn, one of the Osage actors in the film “Killers of the Flower Moon.” Due to limited space in the gallery, each member of the Legislature is allowed to invite one guest to observe the opening joint session and hear the governor’s speech. Boren’s guest will be her constituent, Red Corn.
