OKLAHOMA CITY- Senate Majority Floor Leader Greg McCortney was presented with the esteemed ORA Legislator of the Year award. The Ada Republican was selected as the 2024 honoree by the Oklahoma Rifle Association and was recognized for his continual efforts to uphold Oklahomans’ Second Amendment rights.

OKLAHOMA CITY- Senate Majority Floor Leader Greg McCortney has been reelected to the GOPAC Legislative Leaders Advisory Board. The Ada Republican serves in this role alongside dozens of state Senate and House leaders from across the nation.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Greg McCortney, R-Ada, will continue in his role as majority floor leader of the Senate for the 59^th Legislature.  Senate President Pro Tempore Greg Treat announced he had reappointed McCortney to the post, which is the second-highest ranking leadership position in the Senate.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Senate Majority Leader Greg McCortney announced Wednesday that legislative leaders from both chambers had agreed to appropriate an additional $20 million for emergency drought relief.  Those funds are in addition to the $3 million already allocated for drought relief during the 2022 legislative session.
