State Sen. George Burns, R-Pollard, has filed a measure that would modify the Oklahoma Religious Freedom Act to ensure government entities cannot close churches, religious institutions or houses of worship.

The State Department of Health has officially released an online portal available to all Oklahomans to sign-up and schedule an appointment to receive an initial dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

George Burns is officially the State Senator for District 5 after being sworn into office in a scaled-down ceremony held at the State Capitol on Monday. The oath of office was given in the Senate chamber in small groups to accommodate for COVID-19 safety protocols and ongoing Capitol construction projects.
