Senator Ally Seifried Commends First Responders Following Devastating Tornado in Claremore

CLAREMORE, OK – In the wake of the recent tornado outbreak that struck Claremore over the weekend, Senator Ally Seifried, R-Claremore, expressed her gratitude to the first responders, and to the state, county, and municipal emergency management teams for their swift actions before and in the immediate aftermath of the storm.

"The devastating tornado that tore through our community has left a significant impact on the lives of many Oklahomans in Northeast Oklahoma," Senator Seifried said. "In these challenging times, the dedication and bravery of our first responders have been nothing short of remarkable. As the tornado approached, I personally experienced the Claremore Police Department driving through neighborhoods urging individuals to take cover. In the immediate aftermath, our local firefighters, emergency medical teams, and the state and county emergency management teams have been on the ground and have worked tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents."

Senator Seifried has been actively involved with emergency management teams since the tornado hit. She has visited affected areas, coordinated with local authorities and provided support.

"I have witnessed firsthand the extraordinary efforts of our emergency personnel as they carry out search and rescue operations, provide medical care and offer much-needed support to our community," Senator Seifried said. "Their selfless service and quick response have been instrumental in mitigating the impact of this disaster. Our local municipalities continue to work to restore power, while nonprofits and religious organizations continue to provide outreach and support. I want to share a personal thank you to the dedicated linemen who have been working around the clock to restore power.

We mourn the loss of life in surrounding areas, and recognize that it is nothing short of a miracle there were no lives lost in our community. I encourage Oklahomans to join me in prayer for those who have been negatively impacted. We will get through this together."

Senator Seifried assured her constituents that she is committed to continuing her work alongside federal, state and local agencies to secure necessary resources for recovery and rebuilding efforts.
