OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Casey Murdock, R-Felt, received a perfect score of 100 for his support of bills in 2023 that promoted jobs and economic development in Oklahoma. That’s according to the State Chamber Research Foundation’s RIED Report, which promotes economic growth through the evaluation of business, job and economic growth issues considered by the Oklahoma Legislature.
“Eliminating unnecessary government red tape and taxes, incentivizing job creation and growth and creating policy to help businesses thrive and helping make sure they have the educated workforce they need will help communities throughout the state, including right here in Senate District 27,” Murdock said. “I appreciate the State Chamber and the Research Foundation for helping spotlight and promote these bills and their importance to Oklahoma.”
Bills tracked in the RIED report include a measure discontinuing collection of the franchise tax; workforce development measures; legislation to eliminate red tape restricting childcare slots for working families; and a bill to ensure more Oklahoma high school students receive the grants they’re qualified for to continue their educations at a college or CareerTech.
“A strong economy with growing businesses and good jobs, and having the right educational programs to prepare more citizens for those jobs will create a better future for all Oklahomans,” Murdock said. “I’ll continue to support pro-jobs and economic growth efforts in the 2024 legislative session.”
