OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Carri Hicks issued a statement honoring Pat Potts after her death on Wednesday. Hicks said Potts dedicated herself to improving the lives of children and families and building a better future for Oklahoma.
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Pat Potts, who was a trailblazer in early childhood education and a longtime resident of Senate District 40. She was a visionary leader who co-founded the Potts Family Foundation, helped establish the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits, and became the first woman elected president of the Oklahoma City School Board.
“Her lifelong dedication to strengthening families, uplifting communities, and supporting our youngest learners has left an indelible mark on Oklahoma. We honor her legacy and extend heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones.” – Sen. Carri Hicks, D-Oklahoma City.
