Sen. Daniels receives perfect REID score for business advocacy & support

Sen. Julie Daniels has been recognized by the Research Institute for Economic Development (REID) for her support of Oklahoma businesses, economic growth and job creation.  The Bartlesville Republican had a 100% voting record on the ten economic development and business bills tracked by REID during the 2020 legislative session.

“Our business community is the heartbeat of our state.  Without it, there would be no Oklahoma, so it’s important that we do all we can to support our businesses and industries while attracting more to continue growing and improving our great state,” said Daniels.  “This year has been especially hard for the business community, and I was proud to support and present legislation to help them get through this historic health crisis.”

Daniels presented two of the pro-business bills on the Senate Floor. SB 1946 provides civil liability protection for businesses safely reopening while acting in accordance with government guidance or those operating as a government-directed essential business during the state of emergency. SB 1947 provides lawsuit protections to those who manufacture or donate materials needed in response to the virus.

Other bills included in the REID report were Senate Bills 801, 1204, 1362, 1688, 1748, 1875 and House Bills 3619 and 4018.
