OKLAHOMA CITY – The Senate Republicans elected their leadership members earlier this week, and Sen. Nathan Dahm will continue his role as a Majority Whip. The Broken Arrow Republican was first elected to serve in the position in 2014.
“I’m humbled by the trust my caucus has shown me to once again serve in this leadership role. I appreciate their continued support and encouragement,” said Dahm. “We’re facing another tough budget year so it will be imperative that our caucus be united in our efforts to support legislation to continue strengthening our state’s economy and protecting Oklahoma families.”
The Majority Whip is responsible for assisting the members of their party in working with their colleagues in determining and informing the leadership of the members’ positions on issues.
Although their new committee assignments have not been announced, Dahm has served as the Chair of the General Government Committee and has also been a member of the full Appropriations, Business and Commerce, Finance, and Rules Committees as well as the Appropriations Subcommittee on Select Agencies.
