Legislative Veterans Caucus chairmen thank fellow veterans for service

 

In recognition of Veterans Day, State Sen. Paul Rosino, R-Oklahoma City, and Rep. Jay Steagall, R-Yukon, released the following statement Friday. Both are retired veterans who currently serve as the chairman of their chambers Veterans Caucus.

 

It was an honor and privilege to serve our great nation for 25 years. The men and women I served with were true professionals in every respect. Those veterans who have worn and continue to wear the uniform of our military willingly sacrificed so much for our country. The Oklahoma Legislative Veterans Caucus thanks you for your dedicated, loyal and honorable service and wish you a happy Veterans Day. God bless you, God bless our military and God bless America. This Veterans Day, wed like to salute all our veterans and their families who have served and those who are still serving today, both at home and abroad. For the sacrifices you make daily in defense of our freedoms and way of life, we thank you. We will never forget. Rep. Steagall

 

Sen. Rosino served in the Navyfor 25 years, retiring at the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer (E9/Navys highest enlisted rank).

 

Rep. Steagall recently retired as a Major from the Air Force Reserves after nearly 23 years of service.
