Paul grew up on a ranch in Cyril, Oklahoma, working cattle with his dad. He has a degree in Radiologic Technology and has worked at both Norman Regional Hospital and Southwestern Medical Center. In 2001, he started doing mobile x-ray out of his garage. Today, his business, Sooner Mobile X-Ray employs 15 people and provides mobile x-ray, EKG, and ultrasound services to nursing facilities, home health agencies, and jails across the state of Oklahoma.
Paul serves on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Baptist Foundation. He attends First Baptist Church in Duncan, where he currently serves as deacon. He and his wife, Susan, teach a Singles and Young Married Sunday School Class.
Paul has served on the Duncan Public Schools Foundation Board, which provides funding for continuing teacher education, grants, and student scholarships. He also works as a high school football official. Paul and his wife ,Susan, have been married for 28 years. Susan is a teacher who has taught at the middle school for Duncan Public Schools.
Paul and Susan have three grown children, Braden (27) and twins Brooklyn and Britton (23). Braden is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma (MBA and undergraduate). Brooklyn and Britton are both graduates and played basketball on scholarship for Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. Both girls got married this past year. (Two weddings and a Senate campaign made 2016 most eventful for the Scott family!) Brooklyn married Caleb Neal of Sulphur and Britton married Kale Murphree of Duncan.
