Sen. Micheal Bergstrom honored as OK2A Senator of the Year

Sen. Micheal Bergstrom, R-Adair, was honored as the Oklahoma Second Amendment Association (OK2A) Senator Minuteman of the Year during the OK2A Tulsa County Chapter Meeting on Aug. 27.

Bergstrom received an “A++” rating from the OK2A during the 2020 legislative session and was recognized as Senator of the Year for his staunch support of the Second Amendment by promoting and passing legislation protecting the right to bear arms for Oklahoma citizens.

“One of my primary responsibilities as a state senator is to promote Oklahoma citizens’ constitutional rights, including the right of free speech, and of course, our Second Amendment rights,” Bergstrom said. “It’s an honor to work with the Oklahoma Second Amendment Association at the State Capitol to further protect gun rights in our state, and I’m humbled to receive the highest award given to a senator each year.”

OK2A is Oklahoma’s premier Second Amendment advocacy group that supports gun rights by working with its membership, legislators, attorneys and gun rights experts to craft sound Second Amendment public policy.
